About the event
THE THEATRE RESTAURANT & CAPTAINS DECK at THE BRASS BELL PRESENT .... ¡PULSO!
This visually and auditory captivating production combines the passion, fire and intensity of authentic contemporary FLAMENCO DANCE (Ché Adams) with the rich, complex and sensuous sounds of CLASSICAL GUITAR (Nina Fourie-Gouws).
A la Carte dinner served from 5 pm, followed by a once-off intimate performance at 6.30 pm. LIMITED TICKETS AVAILABLE! Book early to avoid disappointment. Seating is first-come, first-served.
The audience will be transported across three millennia, from majestic cathedrals and pastoral landscapes to the bustling nightclubs and cafés of South America and Spain. The formidable duo breaks down the boundaries between the melodious, virtuosic, and structured world of classical guitar and the expressive, explosive and highly improvisational nature of flamenco dancing. The programme includes works by Albéniz, Bach, Brouwer, Domeniconi, Dyens and Tarrega.
Established in 2023, ¡Pulso! has been featured on KykNet’s Fiësta and has performed as part of the sold-out productions at the Toyota Woordfees (for which the production was nominated for best classical music production), Classics for All Festival in Greyton, Hugo Lambrechts Classical Guitar Festival, the Baxter Theatre, the Erin Hall and Oude Westhof Concert series, "delivering a high-energy blend of virtuosity, evocative and sensuous lyricism and imaginative programming resulting in a thrilling new way to experience classical music in the 21st century".
