Built in 1939, the Brass Bell’s humble beginning as a council-run “Tea Room” is a far cry from the bustling complex of seaside dining venues that it is today. Owner, Tony White has pioneered the ongoing development of the Brass Bell Restaurants and Pubs, and together with his dynamic hospitality team has turned the Brass Bell from a once quaint seaside bistro into a beloved house hold name, boasting an impressive series of 7 different dining and events venues.
The location and splendor of this magical place has captured the imagination and hearts of tourists and locals alike, and it is now a world renowned and well loved hotspot welcoming guests with warm hospitality and superb menu selections.

Guests are advised that weekends and public holidays are generally busy and reservations are strongly recommended.

For lunch reservations - our latest time slot available to book is 12h30 - thereafter we run on a strictly first-come-first-served basis.
Dinner reservations start from 18h00.
Please note that some of our venues are weather permitting. The Brass Bell reserves the right to move a reservation, if necessary,to an alternative suitable venue at their discretion.
NO DOGS ALLOWED
We regret to inform our patrons that Dogs are no longer allowed into the Brass Bell property, including the outdoor Beach venue. Sadly this is a direct instruction that we have recieved from the Health Department, and we apologise fro any inconvenience caused.
CORKAGE AND "CAKEAGE" POLICY
Guests are advised that we charge R30 per 750ml bottle (wine or champagne only) - with a limit of 1 bottle allowed per 4 people dining. Please note, we do not allow any other outside beverages to be brought in.
Guests wishing to bring in a birthday cake for a special occasion may do so, however a R100 "cakeage" fee will be applied to the bill. (per cake)
